These Terms and Conditions govern your use of PlayaBets, accessible at playa-bets.co.za. By registering an account or placing a bet, you confirm that you've read, understood, and agreed to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the platform.

1. The Operator

PlayaBets is operated under applicable South African gambling legislation, including the National Gambling Act 7 of 2004 and regulations issued by the National Gambling Board (NGB). We are committed to operating a fair, legal, and responsible gambling platform for South African players.

2. Eligibility

You must meet all of the following requirements to open and use a PlayaBets account:

• You must be 18 years of age or older
• You must be physically located in South Africa when placing bets
• You must be a South African citizen or permanent resident with a valid ID
• You must not be a self-excluded player or on any exclusion register
• You must not be an employee, director, or close family member of PlayaBets or any associated company

We verify your identity during registration and may request additional documents at any time. If you provide false information, your account will be closed and any winnings may be forfeited.

3. Account Registration

Each person may only hold one account. Creating duplicate accounts is not allowed and may result in all accounts being suspended. You're responsible for keeping your login details confidential. Don't share your password with anyone.

If you think someone else has accessed your account, contact us immediately. We won't be liable for losses that result from you sharing your credentials.

4. Deposits and Withdrawals

All transactions are processed in South African Rand (R / ZAR). We support a range of local payment methods. Deposits are generally credited to your account promptly, though processing times can vary depending on the method used.

Withdrawals are paid to the same account or method used for your deposit, wherever possible. We may require identity and payment verification before processing a withdrawal. This is a regulatory requirement, not something we can waive.

PlayaBets does not accept third-party payments. The account you deposit from must be in your own name.

5. Bonuses and Promotions

From time to time, PlayaBets offers bonuses and promotional offers to new and existing players. Each promotion comes with its own specific terms, including wagering requirements, eligible games, and expiry dates. Bonuses are intended for personal recreational use only. Any attempt to abuse bonus offers, including through the use of multiple accounts or coordinated betting strategies, will result in the cancellation of the bonus and may lead to account suspension.

6. Betting Rules

All bets are subject to the specific rules for the relevant sport, event, or game. These rules are available on the relevant section of the site. In the event of a dispute, PlayaBets' decision is final, subject to the complaints process set out below.

We reserve the right to void bets placed on events where an obvious error has occurred, including incorrect odds being published. We'll always try to resolve these situations fairly.

7. Responsible Gambling

PlayaBets takes responsible gambling seriously. We offer a range of tools to help you stay in control, including deposit limits, loss limits, session time reminders, and self-exclusion. You can access these through your account settings at any time.

We may also intervene if we identify patterns of play that suggest a problem. This is part of our legal and ethical obligation as a licensed operator.

8. Prohibited Activities

The following are strictly prohibited on PlayaBets:

• Using automated software, bots, or scripts to place bets
• Colluding with other players to gain an unfair advantage
• Exploiting software errors or glitches
• Money laundering or any activity that violates FICA or other financial laws
• Accessing the platform from a jurisdiction where online gambling is prohibited

Any account found to be involved in prohibited activity will be suspended immediately. We cooperate fully with law enforcement and regulatory authorities.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on playa-bets.co.za, including logos, graphics, software, and written content, belongs to PlayaBets or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any of it without our written permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

PlayaBets is not liable for any losses arising from technical failures, internet outages, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We're also not responsible for any losses resulting from your failure to follow these terms.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything that can't be excluded under South African law.

11. Complaints and Disputes

If you have a complaint, contact our support team first. We aim to resolve all complaints promptly and fairly. If you're not satisfied with our response, you may escalate the matter to the relevant provincial gambling board or the NGB.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. We'll notify you of significant changes via email or a notice on the site. Continued use of PlayaBets after changes are published means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of South African courts.
